Staircases

Staircases can be decorative or industrial. A fire escape staircase is seen by no-one until the fire drill, although conversely a feature staircase is designed to catch the eye and create a lasting impression.

A feature staircase can be constructed from mild steel, stainless steel. cast iron, brass, glass or timber. They are usually a mixture of materials and require considerable design input to achieve the aesthetic look and compliance with building regulations.

At the other end of the scale is the functional staircase for means of escape or access. Whilst the design of these is usually more straightforward, the installation can be a major consideration in buildings that are occupied on inaccessible sites in the West End or City. We have completed plenty of potentially tricky installations and can provide solutions for most problems.
